Conclusions:  The objective of this presentation is to discuss issues related to HIV management (in particular, ART) of women globally, including questions related to the optimal antiretroviral regimen(s) among women (taking into account factors such as CD4 cell count, fertility choices), choice of regimen after exposure to short courses of antiretrovirals during pregnancy, pharmacokinetic and toxicity differences of antiretroviral drugs in women vs men, safety of ART during pregnancy, treatment interruption, etc.  Current data on the topic will be reviewed and important gaps in current knowledge discussed.
